As the Indian poet Kabir (1440-1518) wrote "Music without words means leaving behind the mind. And leaving behind the mind is meditation" and the renown meditation teacher Sri Chimnoy (1931-2007) noted "If divine music is played during deep meditation, it enhances the meditation . . . Soft, soulful music will definitely help you". This is a Meetup group for instrumental musicians in the Boston area who are interested in reading chamber music together. Whether you play regularly or are looking to pick up your instrument again for fun, all that’s required is a willingness to sight-read new music and meet fellow musicians. I’m looking for suggestions on where to hold our Meetups. A piano would be great, though not necessary. Please message me if you have ideas.

My vision is to create a music salon of 21st century where artists meet up for great music, wine, and discussion about life. We classical musicians do not get enough chance to "jam" as often as jazz musicians. it is a very important way to learn and develop instinct when playing chamber music. Hope you can join us!
